I have ATT, and I know that the HTC Touch Pro is coming out on November 11- but I was wondering about the HTC Touch Diamond.
What carrier does it have? Which of the two do you like?
I'd be using the phone mostly for texting and internet [Myspace and google] and camera and things.
Thanks.
--but i have ATT,
and not changing carriers-
so does att have a diamond?

I have the exact same problem. So far I really don't see too many differances between the touch pro and diamond except the power and looks slightly go to the pro. This is just FYI but did you know that you can get free navigation on your HTC phones using TomTom6 just google it read around forums and download it. As for your question I am actually leaning towards the HTC diamond since I'm not a business person and use the phone for things you do. Also somthing I like to do is buy the mid range phones because I end up upgrading anyway. If you buy a 600 dollar phone like the pro chances are your going to use it for more than a year. In that time period a new 300 dollar phone would beat it feature wise. I'm getting my phone off ebay for about 275 but it is for sprint. Oh and one major thing is that the sprint version of the diamond has much better functionality than the unlocked one for other companies for some reason. You can read it on CNET.com

The main difference between the two phones is that pro has a pull out QWERTY pad for easier texting than the diamond... but it also makes the phone a little bigger than the diamond. The pro also has a flash on the camera. These are the two main differences. The diamond is about $ 50 less than the pro, which could be worth it if you are getting the pro for the easier texting capabilities and the flash on the camera.
Different carriers call these phones different names. It is the same phone with minor adjustments depending on the carrier. I know that Sprint has them both out right now.
