I recently purchased an HTC Desire on eBay. It was on pay as you go on Vodafone. I went to the Vodafone shop and they said I should look online to find out the correct APN settings to access 3G networking. I can't access the internet at all, other than over WiFi, anybody know the APN settings? I know nothing about phones, or what I have to do? Can anybody do a guide for someone not so into tech?

if you are in US, 3G doesnt work on your phone! It's a phone produced mainly for european market, but you should be able to connect to the internet still.
How to activate Internet:
The phone connects to internet by itself if you turn on "mobile networks" in the wireless-settings. If your Toolbar doesnt show a E, G or H, you don't have this settings set correctly and have to check those. Everything in the subsettings in "mobile networks settings" have to be set on "Vodafone" or "automatic". You can also check the "always connect". If you did all this, you should at least have an E showing on your toolbar and you should be able to connect, even if it's very slow then.
