I am thinking about gettin the HTC Touch for christmas, but, can it do everything a normal PDA does aswell. Eg. run all the software PDA's do etc. Also, doe sit have a memory card slot, to expand the memory some more?

Actually the HTC Touch Phone must be the best Pocket PC phone of the year at the moment and well It can do all the PDA's Feature and more (unless a PDA has 3G then it cant do 3G) The HTC Touch phone which I currently posses is my best phone and ok Well let me tell you the specs and some others. HTC Touch has a 2 Meg. Camera, Can capture videos, has more 4 types of picturing, can send MMS messages, has WIFI and Bluetooth (not sure about Infrared since I cant seem to get it to work), has internet explorer of course, has Plane mode, has Windows media player, Has Micro. word, excel, powerpoint. It also has a note pad, a TouchFLO Cube (3D Cube to make life easier :P), has winzip of course, it has a File explorer, Landscape mode, SMS hehehehehehehe, and a whole lot more and oh yeah it of course also has an expandable memory using MicroSD Card of upto 2 Giga :P the Package comes with a free MicroSD Card 1gig. If your lucky the promo of the free bluetooth earphones can be yours ^_^ Now rather than spoiling the other features of the HTC I think you will be better of buying this.

I also own a touch and got it the day it came out. Everything you hear about it is phenomenal, the phone itself, camera, software (Windows Office Mobile), music, videos and pictures. To answer your question, it does exactly what a PDA can do, that's why it's classified as a PDA or PPC (Pocket PC). You can download all applications available for a PPC online, some are free while others you have to pay for. The voice clarity on the phone is awesome, the camera is amazing for a phone and even has a scenic mode where you can take a 180 degree shot of a view/room. It does have a memory card slot hidden under the back case on the side. The Touch comes with and 512mb card but you can buy a up to a 4 gig (cheap on ebay). This phone has been amazing so far, texting is really easy even though some sites say it's horrible. Currently I'm having an issue with new text notification in the settings, it won't vibrate for me, I'm considering getting it check out or even replaced w/ another Touch (since it rules). This phone is definitely a great buy for an iPhone wanter for Sprint but with PDA capabilities. Visit www.buzzaboutwireless.com for a complete forum on Sprint phones. You'll enjoy it.
