How to permanently switch off data connection in HTC touch 2?
I recently purchased a HTC touch 2, and for some reason, the Data Connection automatically goes on even though I keep turning it off. My bill is going to skyrocket this month for sure.
I really don't need the Data Connection. Could someone offer some advice?

If you have any of your mail accounts set up to automatically check for new messages or if the weather icon is set up to automatically update, the data connection will turn on by itself. You have to disable any program that wants to update by itself to "manual" update. Something on your phone is set up to automatically update itself. You need to find out what program is doing it and change the settings.
