Im leaving Sprint because I hate their service, but I still own my HTC Hero Android. Can I use it with a different cell phone company?

You could have it flashed to a regional provider like Cricket, Metro, etc., but that's not really gonna help you since they all have much worse coverage than Sprint, so in this case the answer would be no- sorry..

You can't use it for any major carrier. It can be flashed to a carrier like Boost.
