Can i use the htc evo for a metro service?

I wanted to get the HTC Evo from sprint and use it for metro pcs since they both use cdma. And i know metro will convert cerain types of phones over to their service,so i was wondering if metro would be able to do that with this phone or will i have to flash it? And if i have to flash it,how would i do that?

Yeah I don't think you would be able to do this since the EVO is locked to Sprint service. You should talk to someone at Metro to see if they could Unlock it for you.

No you can't.
Although they're both CDMA, the networks cannot be changed because the CDMA chip in the phone is basically like a built in SIM card.

You will be able to flash your phone to metroPCS and use your phone on its network. You will, however, be limited to voice calls and regular text messages. You may or may not get picture messaging and web, but mostly likely, you won't.
Just take your phone to a metroPCS store that does metroFLASH, and most of the stores do perform flashes.
